Another new feature in Cinema Corner 2.0 is our wrap-up file of all the movie-related events from the day. Think the Drudge Report meets Hollywood.
Why should you have to search all over the Internet for movie news when you can get it all right here. We’ll list here some of the stuff we’ve posted from earlier in the day along with other items we think you should check out. Each day, we hope to provide you with a roundup of sorts of the things we believe you’ll enjoy and want to read about.

• George Clooney will get the Cecil B. DeMille Award at The Golden Globes. (NEW)
• The James Bond crew wasn’t allowed to film a scene for “Spectre” near the Quattro Fontane (Four Fountains) in Rome.
• Producer David Heyman talks with Collider about “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” One thing he said was he’s focused on one film, not a trilogy like Warner Bros. announced for 2018 and 2020.
• Sign a petition to make Oct. 21 “National Back to the Future Day.”
• The British version of the Oscars, the 68th annual British Academy Film Awards released their nominees early Friday morning. “The Grand Budapest Hotel” leads the way with 11 nominations while “Birdman” and “The Theory of Everything” each have 10.
• “The Purge 3” has a July 1, 2016 release date. That puts it up against Steven Spielberg’s “The BFG” and David Yates’ “Tarzan.”
• Alec Baldwin, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Sudeikis join Matt Damon and Reese Witherspoon for “Downsizing.”
• George Lucas is coming to Sundance.
• “CitizenFour,” the Edward Snowden documentary, will air on HBO right after the Oscars.

• “Wicked,” the popular Broadway production, is going to be made into a film. But nobody knows when yet.
• Annie Hendy has been tapped to write the screenplays for “Dork Diaries” by Lionsgate and Summit.
• Bruce Willis will play the lead role in “Bandits,” which is adapted from the Elmore Leonard novel.
• Rod Taylor (“The Birds”) has died at age 84.
• Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee, has been jailed in China on drug offenses. Later Friday, he was sentenced to six months in jail. (NEW)
