We here at Cinema Corner love movie trailers. It’s a good thing. Apparently, Tuesdays are a big day for them to be released.

Warner Bros. has been busy with the release of “San Andreas” and now “Inherent Vice” has its latest trailer, called “Paranoia.” The seventh Paul Thomas Anderson film is about private eye Doc Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) and a crazy adventure involving his ex-wife.

“Inherent Vice’ will be released in select theaters on Friday and will be open in wide release on Jan. 9.

Josh Brolin spent Sunday promoting “Inherent Vice,” the Paul Thomas Anderson film that comes out in limited release this Friday before going out in wide release Jan. 9. But a lot of the conversation was centered around Brolin’s role as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Brolin appeared for the first time as Thanos in “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He was in two small parts in the film but his presence was certainly felt. ComingSoon.net wrote in its story on Brolin that it’s likely he’ll be seen again in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” before taking on everyone in “Avengers: Infinity War,” which will be broken up into two films that hit theaters on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.

During Sunday’s conversations, Brolin said it was a thrill to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but, at the same time, he was nervous about playing the role.

From CinemaBlend.com:

“I love the idea of Thanos. Ultimately, it’s Thanos against everyone. Why wouldn’t you do that? It’s a strange thing. I was more nervous doing that than I’ve been for a long time. I was sitting in front of 32 cameras and my face was sprayed with iridescent paint and all that. It was very, very different, but I like it. It’s fun. It’s different.”

Brolin also said he credits Louis D’Esposito, a Marvel Studios Co-President for helping him get the coveted role.

From ComingSoon.net:

“Thanos came along because of my good friend Louis D’Esposito,” Brolin continues. “…He and I used to train together. We did ‘Hollow Man’ together. He called me up and started talking about this thing. It was nice because I could intimately talk to him about it. What I liked. What I didn’t like about the whole idea of it … It was really exciting because of the possibilities that it could be come. Not as an idea or as a blockbuster, but just as something different. It’s a character mentality.”

“Inherent Vice” also stars Benicio Del Toro, Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Jena Malone and Owen Wilson.
