The first week out on DVD has proven to be a good thing for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”

“Turtles” leads all DVD rentals in the newest numbers released by Home Media Magazine for the week ending Dec. 21. “Turtles” beat out “Guardians of the Galaxy” for the top spot. The film also did the same when it first came out in theaters in August. However, “Guardians” moved back to the top after previously holding the spot and became the highest-grossing film of 2014.

“Into the Storm” moved into the top 10 and settled for third followed by “Let’s Be Cops,” last week’s No. 1, and “If I Stay,” another new entry.
