Gina Carano added to ‘Kickboxer’ remake

Fresh off the heels of the announcement that a ‘Kickboxer’ film would be made, The Hollywood Reporter reported Gina Carano has joined the cast, which includes Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dave Bautista.

The film, which also stars Alain Moussi, Georges St. Pierre and Sara Malakul Lane, will be shot in New Orleans. It will be directed by John Stockwell.

Carano will play a fight promoter. The film will center around Kurt Sloane (Moussi), a martial artists who travels to Thailand to get revenge for the death of his brother at the hands of Tong Po (Bautista).
